I have a lot of digestive disturbances and crave bread and sugar could I have a yeast infection?

This is a sign of a yeast infection as yeasts feed off sugars and starch. See Threelac for further information. Threelac is a good probiotic, one that helps replenish the good bacteria in the stomach and intestines and helps to eradicate the overpopulating of bad bacteria. When a person has yeasts in their body the balance has been lost. Ensure that you drink lots of water each day to help flush out fermentation in the stomach as this contributes to the problem. Drinking lots of water also helps balance out the hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

I have acid indigestion and a burning feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I know it sounds too simple for some to grasp but at the first sign of this problem, drink a liter of water in one sitting to help reduce the stomach acid. Repeat at least 4 times a day and repeat for as many days as you can. This will help the immediate problem and it won’t cost you anything. We should all be taking lots of water each day. Consider taking enzymes and a change of diet. (See Enzyme FAQ).

I’m constantly plagued with stomach gas regardless of how hard I try to eat sensibly.

I am constantly plagued with gas and bloating in my stomach. It comes more from my stomach than in my colon. It’s far worse when I eat bread and sugary things. I feel tired and irritable. I have tried lots of different things and cannot seem to find something that works. Can you help?

The stomach is a sensitive and delicate organ. It can take a great deal of assault but when enough is enough it certainly lets us know. Our stomach needs moisture and heat, a proper mucous coating and of course hydrochloric acid. For the stomach to function well it needs to be replenished with lots of water each day, good nutritious food with enzymes in it and sufficient oils.

When too much fermentation takes place in the stomach a person can obtain immediate help by drinking lots of water. As simple as this may sound it works. In order to get immediate relief from the discomfort of gas and bloating, charcoal is very effective for it binds gases quickly and removes fermentation out of the stomach effortlessly. Charcoal is very good at helping to remove toxins from the stomach. If the cause of the gas is too much acid, drink at least 4 liters of water each day as this will help balance out excess stomach acid. You also need to consider taking enzymes as they are invaluable. And please read the information on Inulation.

When I go to the bathroom my stools smell bad why is this?

When a person has a good diet the stools should not stink. People that have lots of vegetables and fruits and vegetable juices report the stools smell fresh and healthy. Bad smelling stools is a sign of fermentation and putrefying matter and this can back up into our stomachs and mouths. When food has lots of good enzymes in it, the stools tend to float when passed into the toilet bowl. This is a good sign. When taking a good enzyme preparation it helps the stools become more balanced, soften and float.
